The Videographer/Editor will serve as an editor, videographer, and production assistant for UCLA Online Teaching and Learning's production team.
As editor, the incumbent will edit recorded audio and video. Duties include logging files/footage; assembling dialogue edits; researching and collecting visual materials and licensing information (if applicable); creating recuts based on notes from senior staff and faculty; designing and creating titles, credits, and other graphics; submitting videos for captioning; polishing and completing edits; and preparing deliverables for release. The incumbent will assist with other post-production tasks as needed.

As videographer, the incumbent will set-up and operate various equipment used in video and multi-media production. Equipment includes cameras, switchers, video capture equipment, lighting equipment, audio recording and mixing equipment, electronic graphics systems, and Mac and Windows computers. Recording spaces include a live recording studio, remote recording studio, and non-studio locations around campus.
As production assistant, the incumbent will complete media management and studio maintenance as well as assist with administrative tasks, such as research, presentations, training materials, project estimates, etc.

Required/Preferred
Working knowledge in all aspects of video and multimedia pre-production, production, and post-production.
Required
3-5 years of work experience in creating high-quality academic multimedia for online delivery.
Preferred
Advanced knowledge of the principles of digital nonlinear editing systems and demonstrated skill in operating editing systems to proper technical and aesthetic standards.

Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Proficiency in at least one major electronic graphics system (e.g., After Effects, Blender, Photoshop, etc.).

Working knowledge of various camera systems and lenses, audio equipment, and lighting equipment used in broadcast production.

Basic knowledge and demonstrated ability to learn/operate studio switchers, live video capture devices, online storage solutions, and other equipment used in multi-camera studio recording.
