B2B Lead - Uber Shuttle [Mexico]


 

About the Role

Uber Shuttle is an everyday commute product that offers a safe, reliable, and affordable transportation solution. With just a few taps and a short walk, riders can book a guaranteed seat on a commuter shuttle van or bus along fixed routes and pick-up stations. Currently, our operations span MEA, India, and LATAM, serving both B2C and B2B customers!
As we expand the Uber Shuttle experience to LATAM, we are seeking a B2B Lead for Mexico to facilitate companies in addressing the challenge of returning to the office while providing riders with a convenient, conscientious, and secure mode of transportation. This role is based in Mexico City and reports directly to the General Manager of High Capacity Vehicles in Mexico. The Uber Shuttle B2B Lead will be responsible for driving the growth of our B2B business in Mexico. This includes supporting the sales team by creating customized service proposals, identifying and onboarding the right suppliers to meet our customers' needs, expanding our fleet partner base as the business expands nationwide, ensuring smooth operations for Uber Shuttle customers, providing exceptional post-deal support, and project managing internal initiatives to enhance processes and product features.

Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. You will play a crucial role in the expansion of Uber Shuttle across multiple cities in Mexico. Collaborating with the wider Latin America Shuttle team, you will contribute to strengthening regional collaboration. Additionally, you will work closely with the Product and Shuttle Global Ops teams to share insights and findings, ultimately contributing to the standardization of processes and influencing product development. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in an environment where they can tackle unstructured, early-stage challenges.

What you'll do

  • Program / Project Management: Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure the seamless launch of operations for new customers.
  • Scale: Find opportunities to optimize, streamline or automate processes to improve the scalability of network growth, customer acquisition and expansion
  • Drive Product Market Fit: Identify solutions to improve product market fit and work with central operations and product teams for enhancements.
  • B2B Customer Relationships:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with B2B customers, driving engagement.
  • Ensure customer SLAs are met.
  • Train and support riders and admins in utilizing Uber Shuttle technology effectively.
  • Gather customer feedback and build cases to advocate for their requests to be built into our products
  • Customer Service Cost: Implement strategies to reduce service cost and drive profitability.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze challenging customer growth and retention problems, developing solutions through data-driven analysis.
  • Supply Acquisition - Plan and acquire Uber Shuttle supply by working with existing and new fleet partners.
  • Fleet Partner Relationships
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fleet partners, fostering growth and engagement.
  • Ensure fleets and drivers meet customer SLAs.
  • Train and support drivers and Fleet admins in using Uber Shuttle technology to run their side of the operation as smoothly as possible.
  • Gather partner feedback and advocate for their requests.
  • Supply Cost - Work on strategies like cross-utilization, pricing improvements, to reduce supply cost and drive profitability.
  • Strategy - Contribute to long-term strategies for adding new supply through partnerships and industry collaborations.
  • Analyze Data: Supervise and analyze network, rider, and driver metrics for data-driven decision-making.
  • Be an owner: We’re building a business and there’s a lot that we don’t know. Take initiative, face challenges, and drive the business forward as a self-starter in this dynamic environment.

What you'll need

  • 4+ years of proven experience in the tech industry, shuttle/charter, logistics or freight industry, or in consulting
  • The ability to clearly communicate and present information to partners across all levels of the business
  • Proven track record to lead cross functional initiatives at a similar fast paced organization
  • Strong business and operational acumen as well as critical problem solving skills
  • Proactive and creative solutions-driven approach, with a ‘get it done’ attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with the ability to help visualize data for customer and internal presentations
  • Must have familiarity with using SQL to research, study and answer real world questions
  • Prior experience in business development, customer sales, account management, procurement is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Shuttle/Charter, logistics or freight industry.
  • Advanced SQL skills
